SRC INTENSIFIES ITS DATA CLEAN-UP PROCEDURE, LAUNCHES A DEDICATED INFORMATION CENTRE

The Seychelles Revenue Commission (SRC) has today announced that it would be intensifying its data clean-up process this December to grant taxpayers the final opportunity to update their records with the organization in time for lodgment activity 2023.

To facilitate this process, the Commission will effective Monday, 12 December 2022, open doors to its new Information Update Centre located on the 2nd Floor of Maison Colet in Victoria, exclusively dedicated to assisting taxpayers in completing their information update form or with any queries relating to the process.

The Information Update Centre operational on weekdays will attend to walk-in taxpayers from 8am to 4pm, and is reachable by phone on 4293737 and via email to registry@src.gov.sc

Following the launch of the registration module of its new online tax system the ‘Seychelles Tax Portal’, and to ensure the correct information of taxpayers are migrated to the new system, it is crucial for the Commission to capture maximum taxpayers as users of the new system to automate and modernize its services.

To increase operational efficiencies and to speed up the data clean-up process, SRC will also make use of additional human resources at the Centre throughout the entire month of December to reach out to taxpayers who have not yet updated their information.

Taxpayers are being encouraged to make maximum use of the Centre which will be operational for six weeks (insert end date).  All relevant documents should be on hand when visiting the Centre and this include a copy of passport or identification card, details of business location, contact number, certificates issued by the Registrar of Companies (if trading name of the business has been registered), details of tax agent, bank details (in case of any potential refund required from SRC), license issued by Seychelles Licensing Authority or any respective authority relevant to the business.

SRC wishes to thank the School of Business Studies and Accounting as well as the School of Advanced Level Studies for their support in this data clean-up exercise and counts on all taxpayers to take this opportunity to update their information and be part of the digitalization process of SRC services.
