Following the recent announcement made by the Ministry of Finance, Economic Planning, Trade and Investment related to the micro and small enterprises (MSEs) 13th Month Salary Pay Support Program, the Seychelles Revenue Commission (SRC) has streamlined its processes to assist businesses applying for the program to obtain a dedicated tax clearance certificate at the earliest.
The tax clearance certificate a requirement of the 13th Month Salary Pay Support Program will be issued solely for the purpose of the 13th Month Pay Support Program and will not be valid for any other use; for example as a supporting document for tender applications.
To allow businesses the opportunity to submit their application timely to the Ministry of Finance, Economic Planning, Trade and Investment online portal, the SRC will process and issue all tax clearance certificate within one (1) working day should the taxpayer has met all their obligations to SRC.
To apply for the 13th Month Salary Pay Support Program tax clearance, businesses must complete the certificate application form available in the download section at www.src.gov.sc , pay a non-refundable processing fee of SCR 100 and submit the completed application plus proof of payment via the email assistance@src.gov.sc created specifically for this service.
The officers will also transmit the certificate to the business electronically via email should all be in order.
Businesses can also visit SRC offices on Mahe at Maison Collet (Victoria) and Maison Royale (Anse Royale) including any offices on inner island to be assisted.
Only registered micro businesses with annual turnover of less than SCR 2 million having up to 2 employees and small businesses with annual turnover less than SCR12 million with up to 15 employees as defined in the Enterprise Seychelles Agency Act 2018 can apply for the 13th Month Pay Support Program tax clearance.
