SENIOR CUSTOMS OFFICER – BOARDING, MANIFEST & EXPORT – (1 POST)

Job Summary

The post holder will be responsible for supervising the day-to-day activities to facilitate the legitimate movement of vessels, crew, passengers and cargo into the country as well as ensuring compliance and trade facilitation requirements. Protect the community by intercepting prohibited and restricted goods and ensuring that the relevant documents are submitted for importation of restricted goods.  Verify that taxes due are being properly collected on all items entering the country.

Qualifications & Experience

• Degree in Customs Management / Administration or any business / trade related field or ACCA Level 2; or
• Advanced Diploma Customs Management or Customs Administration or any business / trade related field or AAT Final Certificate or ACCA Level one plus four years’ satisfactory work experience; or
• Diploma in Customs Management or Customs Administration or Taxation or any business /trade related field or AAT intermediate plus five years’ satisfactory work experience.
