SRC TO HOST SECOND EDUCATIVE SESSION FOR 2024

Following the success of the tax and customs workshop in August and due to increasing demand from the public, the Seychelles Revenue Commission (SRC) will once again this year host its tax and customs educative workshop targeting newly registered businesses or those interested in learning about tax and customs procedures, processes and laws ahead of starting their new business.

The session set on Thursday, 17 October 2024 will be held at the STC conference room in Latanier Road from 9am to midday.

Presentations to be delivered and discussions at the session will focus mainly on the key elements of domestic taxation and customs regulations including the administration of laws and penalties, procedures for lodgment of returns and payment, obligations and rights of taxpayers, the mandate of customs and its role, the process for importation, concessions applicable, the necessary documentation taxpayers require when setting up their business and the services offered by SRC.

Taxpayers attending the informative session will  also have the opportunity to address the challenges being encountered in maintaining compliance to the revenue laws, customs rules in addition to meeting with the officers on a –one-to-one basis to clarify doubts.
