As customary, March is the last month where businesses can lodge and pay their annual business or presumptive tax to the Seychelles Revenue Commission (SRC).
To prevent long queues and constraints during this peak time, the SRC will as from Wednesday 12 March 2025, decentralize its services across various locations on Mahe to allow taxpayers the opportunity to lodge and pay their tax timely, ahead of the 31 March 2025 deadline.
This process will not only allow taxpayers the chance to meet their obligations promptly but opportunity to interact with the SRC officers who will be onsite, on a one-to-one basis for any further queries or assistance required.
The lodgment and payment program for the applicable year 2024 aims to increase compliance by encouraging businesses to lodge and pay their taxes ahead of the deadline to avoid any penalties and to alleviate space constraints at the SRC main centers at Maison Colet in Victoria and ‘Leve Debrouye’ in Providence
In line with the applicable laws, businesses who did not operate or trade during the year 2024, are advised to lodge a ‘NIL’ business or presumptive tax return to the SRC at the end of the tax year 2024.
For further ease in service, SRC is also urging new businesses to use the allocated premises to register their new business during this time.
