SRC Represented in Global Money Week

‘Global Money Week’ is an annual global initiative that aims to make young people more financially literate by teaching them about money at a young age, leading them to eventually achieve financial resilience and well-being by gradually developing the knowledge, abilities, attitudes, and actions required to make wise financial decisions. This year the organization welcomed a group of participants at its headquarters, comprising of six secondary four students from the Anse Boileau Secondary School, accompanied by their teacher and a UN Youth Seychelles Coordinator, for an educational tour held in line with this year’s theme being “Plan your money, plant your future”.

During their visit held on March 23, at Maison Collet, SRC’s Taxpayers Education and Service Delivery Unit (TESD) together with SRC’s Tax Enforcement Section introduced the participants to the role and functions of SRC as well as touched base on how SRC is always encouraging taxpayers to plan their taxes ahead to avoid incurring debt or any other financial burdens in the long run. This was then followed by an informative tour of some of the offices based at Maison Collet.
