SRC RECOGNIZES LONG SERVING EMPLOYEES ON PUBLIC SERVICE DAY

The United Nations recognizes Public Service Day, marked on 23 June, as the time to celebrate the value and virtue of public service to the community, the contribution of public service in the development process, the day to recognize the valuable work of public servants and encourage young people to pursue careers in the public service sector.

Celebrating this exceptional occasion, the Seychelles Revenue Commission (SRC) today presented five of its long serving employees with special recognition awards for attaining a remarkable 15 to 35 years of work experience within the public sector.

During a special ceremony, Manager Manifest, Boarding and Export, Mrs. Diana Belle marking 35 years, Manager Excise Unit, Customs Officer, Mrs. Fabrina Jules celebrating 25 years, Ms. Nadia Dodin and Director Compliance Program and Policy, Ms. Roseline Lepathy both clocking 20 years’, Senior Tax Officer, Ms. Sandra Monthy reaching 15 years, all in the public service sector, received a special token of appreciation in the presence of Acting Commissioner General, Mr. Fred Morel, Commissioner of Customs, Mr. Paul Barrack, the Director for Support Services, Ms. Christel Betsy and other executives of the organization.

Congratulating the five employees for their continuous commitment towards SRC and thanking them for their years of service within the public sector, the Director General for Support Services, Ms. Christelle Betsy said: “SRC is there as a vehicle to transform the lives all its employees, provide them with the best support to have the ability to reach their full potential to make vital contributions and provide a customer service that is at the heart of SRC. I am pleased to see our colleagues achieve this wonderful milestone today and I wish them continued success in their work.”

The awards ceremony held at SRC’s Headquarters based in Maison Collet, also saw ten officers hailing from various areas of the organization recognized as SRC’s top employees within their respective functions, for going above and beyond in their duties during the second half of year 2022.

Acknowledging the effort and dedication of all public servants, the SRC’s management team extends its appreciation to all public service employees and wishes each employee a Happy Public Service Day.
