SRC AND PARTNERS TO HOST EDUCATIVE WORKSHOP WITH INNER ISLAND RETAILERS AND WHOLESALERS

The Seychelles Revenue Commission (SRC) and partners will on Thursday, 23 May 2024, host an educative session targeting businesses engaged in the retail and wholesale activity on Praslin and La Digue.

The session set to be held at the Bahai Centre in Baie Saint Anne will also see the participation of key partners including the Fair Trading Commission (FTC), Seychelles Licensing Authority (SLA), Central Bank of Seychelles, and the Ministry of Health.

Besides addressing tax compliances issues and procedures in line with SRC regulations, the session will cover business obligations and regulations related to non-compliance to be facilitated by FTC, conditions of a retail and wholesale license to be addressed by SLA, details of products being sold and maintenance of business environment by the Ministry of Health whilst the Central Bank of Seychelles will focus on benefits of accepting cards, digital financial solutions, cash lite amongst others.

As such, to ensure that businesses engage in the practice of wholesale and retail are well aware of their obligations the Seychelles Revenue Commission looks forward to the participation of all businesses at this upcoming workshop as well as those thinking of venturing in similar businesses activities to seize this great opportunity in gaining important information.
