The Seychelles Revenue Commission (SRC) and its partners is calling on businesses engaged in the wholesale and retail activities to attend an important workshop on Monday 5th August at the International Conference Centre of Seychelles from 9am to 12.30pm.
The workshop to be hosted by SRC will also see the participation of the Fair Trading Commission (FTC), Seychelles Licensing Authority (SLA), Central Bank of Seychelles (CBS), Seychelles Banking Association and the Ministry of Health.
The half-day session will address the compliance and regulatory issues being encountered with the practices being conducted within the retail and wholesale business, in addition to providing an educative platform on the rights and obligations of the retailers and wholesalers towards each of the participating entities. The Central Bank of Seychelles and the Seychelles Banking Association will as part deliver an insightful presentation on the benefits of accepting cards, payment processes through banks, importance of digital financial solutions, cash lite, tips to avoid cybercrime amongst others.
To build awareness and increase engagement with taxpayers, the SRC is also extending an invitation to newly registered wholesalers and retailers including individuals thinking of venturing into a similar business activity to participate in the workshop to remain abreast on the procedures and laws administered by SRC, FTC, SLA, and the Ministry of Health. The session will also provide retailers and wholesalers the platform to ask questions, seek guidance and clarify any doubts.
The Seychelles Revenue Commission looks forward to the participation of all wholesale and retail businesses at this upcoming workshop. Wholesalers and retailers are advised to register their participation via email at tesd@src.gov.sc or by contacting 4293410/4293462 for more information.
