MS. GAYATHRI CHETTY IS SRC’s NEW COMMISSIONER OF TAX

The Seychelles Revenue Commissions’ management team and staff members has this month welcomed Ms. Gayathri Chetty into her new role as the Commissioner of Tax.

Ms. Chetty joined the Commission in March 2004 where she worked within the Audit department for 17 years as a Senior Audit Officer prior to occupying supervisory and managerial role within the same field.

In 2020, Ms. Chetty attained the position of Director Taxpayers Services where amidst the unprecedented times, together with her team remaining resilient, she played a pivotal part in ensuring business continuity in regards to registration of businesses, tax collection and processing of returns.

Sharing a wealth of experience and a vast knowledge in the domain of tax, exceeding more than 19 years, the new Commissioner will play an important role in the strengthening of SRC’s strategy towards tax laws and compliance, including the effective administration of the laws in line with the assessment and collections of all taxes to be remitted.

It is thus with great pleasure that the management and staff members of the SRC extends their congratulations to Ms. Chetty and looks forward to working with her in her new role, in enabling SRC to reach new heights.
